   Voting Delegates' Information and Procedures
        Each year during the SkillsUSA--Arizona Championships, a new State Officer Team is elected. The following officers are annually elected:
 
 ▪  Region 1 President (candidate must be from region 1)



 

 ▪ Region 2 President (candidate must be from region 2)
 ▪ Region 3 President (candidate must be from region 3)
 ▪ Region 4 President (candidate must be from region 4)
 ▪ Region 5 President (candidate must be from region 5)
 ▪ Region 6 President (candidate must be from region 6)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)
 ▪ State Officer "At Large"  (any region)

State Officer "At Large"
State Officer "At Large" positions are held by the seven (7) top candidates who earn the most number of votes. After State Officer Training the entire team will self elect the following offices: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Historian and Reporter.

Voting Rights
This process is designed to allow all sections (programs or "clubs" within a Chapter) to have voting delegates. Download a copy of the Constitution & Bylaws (Word, PDF).

ARTICLE V - VOTING DELEGATES


Section 2.
    Each section/chapter shall elect delegates who shall be considered Voting Delegates at the State Leadership Conference.  The number of delegates shall be determined as provided in the Bylaws.

ARTICLE II - NUMBER OF VOTING DELEGATES

Section 1.
Each section (club) shall have at least two (2) voting delegates and one additional voting delegate for each ten (10) members or major fraction thereof above twenty (20).  Ex:  26 members /3 voting delegates, 36 members/4 voting delegates, 46 members/5 voting delegates, etc.  The number of total voting delegates will be determined by the reported National Membership for the preceding school year.  Newly chartered sections will have the minimum of voting delegates.
 


How many Voting Delegates does my section (program) have?
Visit here to see a list of your membership for the current school-year. All membership is due by February 1. The SkillsUSA office will determine delegate counts by March 15 and ask all attending advisors to submit the form below. Please submit the appropriate delegate information below and the SkillsUSA--Arizona office will verify accuracy when your membership count is received from the national office.

Delegates are expected to wear official SkillsUSA attire or business attire as defined in the Conference Attire Policy.

Voting Delegate Schedule
Your students have a right and obligation, as members of SkillsUSA, to vote for the new State Officer Team. Please send your maximum number of delegates to the State Officer Elections, during the SkillsUSA Arizona Championships at the Phoenix Convention Center. The schedule is located here.
