Grievance Procedure

 

NOTE: The grievance procedure is available to give Advisors a formal process for filing a complaint regarding an occurrence during a contest. The information below is provided for information purposes only. 

The Arizona SkillsUSA Board of Directors will officially recognize only those grievances filed by the Advisor or the person in charge of the chapter.  Problems are to be considered in the following manner:

   

The  Advisor will file a written request describing the situation in question and the violation of the Skills USA Championships Technical Standards or Arizona Contest Rules and Regulations.
 

This written statement must be signed by the Advisor and filed with the Arizona SkillsUSA Director by 5:00 pm the day of the contest.
 

In the event the Student's Advisor cannot be located, another advisor can file the Grievance from the student's school. However, no action will be taken until the Student's Advisor is located and consulted.
 

In the event the Arizona SkillsUSA Director and Advisor cannot resolve the problem, the Board will officially rule on the validity of the complaint and decide on its disposition.  THE ACTION OF THE BOARD IS FINAL.
